Detox your Life! This motto very much strikes a nerve currently. We long to rid ourselves of all things superfluous. We want to let go and forego, free ourselves from (old) burdens while detoxing our mind and spirit. Especially in these troubled economic and political times where we see bad news hit the headlines every single day most of us would probably like to have more peace of mind, health and serenity.

What does this mean for fashion? Themes such as calm and lightness are also reflected in the new collections for Autumn/Winter 20/21. Bright neutrals, monochrome harmonies, slightly looser fits and natural materials all give rise to a relaxed, comfortable fashion picture.

Speaking of Comfort. Footwear fashions don’t work without comfort anymore! Shoe designers have really gone the last mile for the new season. Paddings, zippers, stretch, insoles and all types of innovative technologies are incorporated to make court shoes and ankle boots (almost) as comfy as our beloved sneakers. Lightness and flexibility are, of course, a must.

Speaking of Natural. The desire to experience nature with all our senses is omnipresent. Hiking is a trend – and as a result trekking and hiking styles are increasingly gaining in importance. Extra-light with hooks and eyelets, profile soles and a styling caught between mountaineering and sneakers, these “urban hikers” may not be fit for climbing mountains but they are destined to become your favourite boot companions for a relaxed walk (in the city). For him and her!
